There is More

This book sparked my interest because of The author, Brian Houston. I’m somewhat familiar with the Hillsong church and thought it would be an encouraging read. I was right! This book teaches how to live a life that is fulfilled when you let God take control. It will encourage you with practical ways to apply these lessons in your life!

God gave us family

This is the second book in the series that I received. I have three boys, and love the stories! God gave us family shares lessons about family, that not every family is the same and the where God placed us, is special! I love the colorful and unique artwork, the animals chosen to be in the stories and the faith based lessons. A must for your bookshelves if you have kids!

In a different Key

In a Different Key caught my eye because my son has autism. It's a new thing in our life, so whatever informative things I can get my hands on, I try and learn as much as I can. This book provides the story of the first child diagnosed with autism. I had no idea it went back so far in time and how far we have come to accept autism in the communities around us. A must read if you love someone with autism!

Shaken

Tim Tebow is a great role model for our Christian family. He played for our home team, the Denver Broncos and showed continued dedication to his team and God. He shows through many of life's hard times, when you persevere and have faith, you can get through it! Lots of wisdom for any guy, but also that could apply to women as well. Shaken is a short, easy read that is easy to relate to!

Gluten Free For Good!

My son is on a Gluten Free diet and it isn't easy! He is the only one, so I'm constantly having to make different options during meal time and this book provides so many recipes that are great for the rest of our family too! I would say that most are kid friendly as well if you have little ones. Simple, and easy to read with pictures, this book helps make meal time and prep something to look forward to for me!

God gave us thankful hearts

I love, love, love this story! I chose it for my two toddler sons. It's thankfulness theme is perfect as we are coming up on the fall season. I love the illustrations in this book. They are so detailed and colorful! The author uses a mom and dad Pup and a baby pup to tell the story. Your little ones are sure to love this short story about little Pup and being thankful!

Punderdome game

Punderdome is hilarious! I wasn't sure about this game, and don't normally get a game unless I've heard great reviews about it. Before we even played the game, I had flipped through some of the cards and was laughing my head off. It kept us busy for a good couple hours! This is game is great and will sure be a hit at your next party!

Bat Dad

Bat Dad. I chose to get this book for my husband, who loves batman and has seen many of the Bat Dads videos. I personally think his humor is a little dry, and is definitely geared toward parents. I think the quality of the book it self is kind of cheap, and the picture quality could be better. Overall, a decent book for a quick laugh and my husband smile :-)

Hope Unfolding

This book, Hope Unfolding, is a book I kind of chose on a whim. With two kids at home, I barely have time to read anymore but I am so glad I picked this book! It's for momma's who work, stay home, have one child, have multiple, or really anyone who is looking for hope in the midst of a crazy life! It helped me to really think about Gods plan for my life, and to put my own hopes and dreams out there as well since they can be so easily forgotten when you're a mom. The author Becky Thompson interjects a lot of humor and her own stories to make this an easy read. I highly recommend this book!

Paris Street Style

Paris Street Style is just another addition to the newest craze: adult coloring books. I was intrigued because I have sisters who love Paris and thought they would enjoy coloring with me. I love the bold black cover. The drawings inside are filled with fashion and art all in a Paris style theme. The pages in this book are not very detailed, but enough to keep you busy for an hour while you relax. If you love coloring, you'd love this book!

Cats in Paris coloring book

Cats in Paris is so much fun! Adult coloring books are all the rave right now. I have one other coloring book and find them to be so relaxing and fun in my spare time! The images in this book are pretty simple, some with more detail than others. I love cats so I was attracted to this specific coloring book. Easy for younger kids even, but a fun must have in your coloring book collection!

Treat is a book all about Rice Krispie treats! All sorts, from chocolate to strawberry to healthy granola type bars. This book makes the one of a kind treats so easy and exciting. There's even recipes on how to make home made marshmallows! The colorful pictures in this book make it irresistible! Such a fun addition to my cookbook shelf ;-)

The Chili Cookbook

The Chili Cookbook is perfect for the fall season. There are chili recipes for  everyone, from vegetarian to meat lovers! The only thing this book is lacking is pictures for each recipe. I love to see what I'm cooking, however each recipe is detailed enough to make me excited to make it! If you live chili, this book is for you and will provide a new and exciting way for you to enjoy it!

Michael Symon's 5 in 5 for every season

I received my copy of Michael Symon's new cookbook before it even hit the shelves! I was looking forward to getting my copy because I have seen him on the chew and have also seen his other cookbook. I have to say the layout of the book is appealing however a lot of his recipes were not very appealing to me. I love the pictures in every cookbook, but I'm not sure I'll be making anything from this one. A little dissapponted from my point of view :(

The First Family Detail

"The First Family Detail" goes into details that the secret service reveals about the hidden lives of the Presidents. It's not what I was expecting out of the book. If you're looking for more of a gossipy type book, this is for you. It was interesting to learn some of the hidden facts but most of them aren't anything to be proud of. Although I highly respect the men and women of the secret service, I would not want their job of keeping presidential secrets like these. If you want to learn a little more about our presidents and secrets they have hidden than this book is for you!

Dr Who: The Drosdens Curse

Being a Dr Who fan, this is the first Dr Who book I have read. I was pleasantly surprised! A fast, intriguing read for any Dr Who fan!!! It captures the reader from the first to last page. Ill definitely be keeping these on my bookshelf!

Salsas and Moles

I don't really have any Hispanic cookbooks so I thought adding this one to my collection would be a good idea. It is filled with colorful pictures, and details. I love the fact that in the beginning of the book is a chart of all different kinds of peppers and the different level of spice. It really expanded my knowledge of peppers used in making salsa and mole. I didn't know there were so many different kinds! I'm looking forward to adding some apice to our next Mexican meal!

Milk Bar Life Review

I was really excited to receive this book a couple weeks ago! I was looking for something different than I would usually pick to review and it was exactly as I was hoping for. Milk Bar Life has an eccentric feel to it. Some very creative combinations in her recipes and definitely ones that I have never come across in other books such as her spaghettiO recipe. It has such fun pictures, that make you want to try her recipes. She seems down to earth and easy going. My kind of girl! Enjoy Milk Bar Life like I have, and cook up a feast!
